Mini-portfolio, with accordion folded pages, styled after an old time-y ticket booklet. This project was created in 2008 for national portfolio day in Vancouver, B.C.
wabi sabi
acceptance of transience
imperfect & incomplete
A portfolio, which was to house collage iterations, would also embody the tenets of wabi sabi. Poplar plywood was chosen for its warm hue and expressive personality. Cover panels were cut, sanded, and lacquered by hand. Pages of black paper were double-bound together. Aluminum piano hinges married the pages to the plywood.

how i embrace my
personal values
Faced with the question of what I value most in life, I searched my fondest memories for moments that exemplified what being human meant to me. Anecdotes, quotes, and images illuminated my perspective. To instill personal connection with the viewer, I created a small booklet, designed to be held in the hand or slipped in a pocket.
